Life After Debt

Well, I'm back from a little vacation in Myrtle Beach and it seems I have left my mind somewhere on the road. I'm still collecting myself and making a dignified attempt at adapting myself back to the real world.

Progress: slow

But at least I'm surviving. I've been applying to jobs all around the U.S. because this sudden spark in traveling has inspired me to continue the cause. At this point, I'm losing care in where I end up. I just want to get out on the road again and see what the world has to offer. I haven't squeezed Portland, Maine dry yet but I'm inclined to think I'm on my way. I feel as if the opportunities are here; they're just not up to the scale of expectations I've created within my head.

"Hey Eddie! Why don't you just grow a pair and start doing instead of complaining on your wack-ass blog?"

Well, let me introduce you to debt. Oh, you already met him? This huge weight of debt has been chained to my leg ever since graduating from the University of New England. It has prevented me from doing exactly what I want to do. It's gotten to a point where I've become familiar with that steady line of Bank Account Balance that doesn't seem to go anywhere. Some hiccups here and there, but nothing special.

Luckily I've been able to keep my head above water. But there's still hope. I'm applying to jobs and crossing my fingers that some employer sees gold somewhere within this head instead of hollowed out wood.
A head which won't be the only thing hollowed out.
Just have to stay optimistic. Until then, I'll continue loving life in Southern Maine as long as the weather permits. Good things ahead.
